Hi,
Great plugin but I need [author_email] at the Recipient (not in CC.)
Cheers, Rick
Hi Rick,
thanks for your request. Right now the recipient field is a select box with the two options "Blog admin" and "Post author".
The option "Post author" would be the same as the placeholder [author_email]. Maybe you could describe it in more detail what exactly you mean / need.
Regards,
Timo
Hi Timo,
When I only select "Post Author" the author won't get an email.
If I select Admin and CC -> [author_email] both receive an email.
Check it with 2 different emails/accounts.
Cheers, Rick
Hi Rick,
thanks for your feedback. You are right. I could reproduce the error. And I already fixed it. I will prepare the update for the beginning of next week (it always takes some time until codecanyon approves the new files).
Thanks again for your purchase. If you have any feature requests or questions, please contact me.
Regards,
Timo
Hi Timo,
Yes this works. Great stuff.
Only option I can think of now (and might be tricky) is a checkbox that says only send 1 email per entry. So an user will not receive an email again when the same post is changed in status.
Cheers, Rick
Hi Rick,
yes, that's a good point. It's kind of difficult as you say. We do not want to get notifications every minute when we are working on a post. But otherwise we do not want to miss an important change.
I will think about a proper solution. If you have any ideas please let me know ;-)
A new version with the two fixed bugs you reported is submitted to Codecanyon.
Regards,
Timo
